Thesis Abstract / Summary:

The present study investigated differences between Dyslexics with and without ADHD on basis of Perceptual Organization, Postural Stability and Receptive Vocabulary. On basis of scientific evidences, it was assumed that Dyslexics with ADHD will perform poorly on all tests than Dyslexics without ADHD. The sample was drawn on the basis of purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of forty eight participants; twelve Dyslexic’s group each and twenty four normal controls, age ranged (M= 12.29, SD= 1.11, M= 12.16, SD= 0.84 and M= 12.35, SD= 0.683) based on screening tools. Bangor dyslexia screening test and Barkley interview form were used as screening tools. Perceptual Organization was assessed by Rey-Osterrieth Complex Test, Postural Stability by Postural Stability Index and Receptive Vocabulary was assessed by Dichotic Listening Word Test. The results were highly significant (p<.005). Thus Dyslexics with ADHD had poor quality of performance on visual-spatial and auditory tasks.
